How long does CADspan take to process a file?
-
The geometry processing engine typically takes between 10 and 20 minutes depending on the complexity of your geometry. Also, higher resolution settings in the expert mode take longer. If the system is being heavily used, times can be longer. If you do not have your file back within 45 minutes please call 800 448 8808 or email help@cadspan.com for assistance.
How do I know which "expert settings" will be best for my project?
-
First try the default settings. These are well optimized for typical residential and light commercial architectural files that do not have too many gaps or holes. Contact help@cadspan.com for assistance with using the expert settings.
Will I be charged if I abort CADspan before file processing completion?
-
No. Also, all CADspan files are 100% guaranteed. If you are ever unhappy with the file or output, please contact us for a full refund.

I get "Invalid File" when I look at the postview. What is going on?
-
This usually means that the file did not resurface. First, make sure that you uploaded a file that CADspan can process, if in doubt try a 3ds or stl file. These work best. Next, look at your input geometry. CADspan tried for about 15 minutes to find a solution for your file. If it cannot create a surface in this time frame it aborts. This usually happens if your file is very complex or has a lot of curves. CADspan is currently optimized for orthogonal geometry and curves can create too many polygons for the online version of CADspan to handle. Try splitting your file up into parts or contact help@cadspan.com for manual assistance.
